Christopher M. Ryon, Board Member

Christopher M. Ryon is a member of the Board of Directors of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) and serves on the Finance Committee and also the Technology Committee. He is also Managing Director at Thornburg Investment Management.

Prior to his role with Thornburg, Mr. Ryon was head of Vanguard’s Long Municipal Bond Group. He also held positions with the accounting firms Laventhol & Horwath and Ernst & Whinney. Mr. Ryon testified before the Senate Banking Committee regarding price transparency in the municipal bond market.

Mr. Ryon holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and has a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and a master’s degree from Drexel University.

Mr. Ryon's term with the MSRB expires September 30, 2019.
