What inspired you to choose the MSRB?

Its critical mission and a desire to be surrounded by smart people at the top of their profession. Plus, a love of the intricate and fundamentally important municipal market.

What do you do on the job? Describe a typical day:

I am a bridge from the MSRB to Capitol Hill, and to my colleagues inside the MSRB, and to its Board of Directors as they work to provide information to Capitol Hill or to understand the effects of changing federal policies.

What I love most about my job is...

We strive to facilitate a fair and efficient market for investors, state and local governments and the public interest. I’m a part of that, and I’m working for an organization that is highly transparent and that helps Congress in its goal of fairly representing the interests of constituents.

My greatest achievement at the MSRB was when...

I was able to help MSRB President and CEO Lynnette Kelly fully prepare to testify before and anticipate questions from Congress. Also, I served as a resource to our Board to help them understand changes for financial services regulators under a new Administration—as well as the implications of landmark tax reform legislation.

When I am not at work, I am…

Rowing, coxswaining, trying not to rank last in Crossfit, boating on the Chesapeake or curled up with my dog watching Netflix.
