Systems Administrator

The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) seeks a Systems Administrator to maintain IT systems and ensure that business requirements are met related to system availability, performance, functionality, and security. The Systems Administrator will maintain an inventory of IT assets, perform backup and recovery on systems and ensure that policies, procedures and standards are followed for effective IT management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of three years of experience in system administration and management
  • Experience managing competing priorities, organizing work efforts and providing support during non-business hours
  • Dedicated experience with Linux and Windows Server administration, including IIS, MS Exchange and Active Directory integration
  • Experience with IT management and analysis tools

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing
  • Must be proactive, detail-oriented and able to function under pressure in an independent environment
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects, activities and tasks under time constraints
  • Exceptional teamwork, time-management and organizational skills

Office Environment and Location

Employees work together in a bright space on a single floor with a variety of workspaces, including conference rooms, offices, cubicles and open team areas.
