The Municipal Securities Rulemaking
Board (MSRB) will be holding seminars on Real-Time Transaction Reporting (RTRS)
in June 2005 covering three topics discussed below: RTRS Update, RTRS Web, and
Reports. MSRB staff will be available for questions and answers at the
conclusion of the seminar.
AGENDA TOPICS
RTRS Update
A brief review of RTRS
implementation, relevant rules, recently published notices and answers to frequently
asked questions will be provided.
RTRS Web
In June 2005, the MSRB is planning
to implement several enhancements to RTRS Web that will add functionality,
improve navigation, and make existing functions easier to use. In addition to changes
to RTRS Web, MSRB will demonstrate several existing features of RTRS Web that dealers
can use to monitor and improve their transaction reporting. Most of the RTRS
Web presentation will cover new material and will not repeat the functions of
RTRS Web presented in the March 2005 conference calls.[1]
Reports
In conjunction with the release of
RTRS Web enhancements, the MSRB also is planning to begin production of several
reports that will assist dealers in complying with certain transaction
reporting requirements. These new reports and the “report cards,” which have
been available to dealers since March 2005, will be reviewed.
(Note: documentation about the enhancements to RTRS Web and
the new reports will be made available on the MSRB’s web site in June 2005.)
