Forum on Disclosure for Long-Term Care/Senior Living Debt

The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, in conjunction with the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission, will be hosting a forum on disclosure issues in the long-term care/senior living sector of the municipal securities market. The forum will cover all aspects of disclosure in this sector, from market-driven standards for disclosure (including the NFMA’s draft “Recommended Best Practices in Disclosure for Long-Term Care/Senior Living Debt”) to federal regulatory standards (including SEC Rule 15c2-12). Panel topics will include:

  • Presentation of NFMA’s Draft Recommended Best Practices in Disclosure for Long-Term Care/Senior Living Debt
  • What To Tell The Market – Debating the Content of Disclosure
  • When and How to Tell the Market – Discussing the Timing and Method of Disseminating Disclosure Information
  • Debating the Legal Issues Surrounding Disclosure
  • Question and Answer Roundtable Discussion
  • The forum will foster an open discussion among long-term care/senior living providers who borrow in the tax-exempt market and the investors, underwriters, lawyers and governmental issuers who bring to market and invest in their bonds.
