Notice Concerning Trades Effected on January 2, 2007 -- National Day of Mourning For Former President Gerald Ford

Most stock exchanges will be closed for trading on January 2, 2007, National Day of Mourning for former President Gerald Ford.  The MSRB expects relatively few municipal securities trades to be effected on that day.  The day, however, remains a “business day” for purposes of the Real-time Transaction Reporting System (RTRS).  Consequently, dealers should report any trades that are effected on January 2 to RTRS in the normal manner and within the timeframes required under MSRB Rule G-14, on transaction reporting.

Questions may be directed to the MSRB’s Transaction Reporting Department at 703.797.6600.
