MUNICIPAL SECURITIES RULEMAKING BOARD TO
HOST OUTREACH EVENT IN NEW YORK CITY

Alexandria, VA – The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) will host an outreach event for members of the New York City-area municipal securities community on March 3, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at the Harvard Club, 35 West 44th Street, New York, New York 10036.

The gathering aims to bring together industry professionals with MSRB Board members and staff to informally discuss issues facing the municipal bond market.  The MSRB typically hosts four such events each year around the country to exchange views with market participants and update them on activities of the MSRB.

There is no cost to attend the New York event.  Space limitations do require that interested organizations limit their attendees to two. To RSVP, contact Tina Hanachi at thanachi@msrb.org.

The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) protects and strengthens the municipal bond market, enabling access to capital, economic growth, and societal progress in tens of thousands of communities across the country. The MSRB fulfills this mission by creating trust in our market through informed regulation of dealers and municipal advisors that protects investors, issuers and the public interest; building technology systems that power our market and provide transparency for issuers, institutions, and the investing public; and serving as the steward of market data that empowers better decisions and fuels innovation for the future. The MSRB is a self-regulatory organization governed by a board of directors that has a majority of public members, in addition to representatives of regulated entities.
