Jennie Huang Bennett
Jennie Huang Bennett is a member of the Board of Directors of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) and serves as Chair or the of the Audit and Risk Committee and is a member of the Nominating Committee and the Steering Committee. She is the former Chief Financial Officer for the City of Chicago, where she oversaw financial strategy and policy and a $16.7 billion total budget, managed a $26 billion portfolio of City of Chicago debt, and directed financial policy for a number of City agencies, among other responsibilities.
Prior to her service at the City, Jennie served as Chief Financial Officer for Chicago Public Schools where she managed an $8 billion budget and a $8 billion debt portfolio. She began her career with Morgan Stanley’s Municipal Securities Division in New York and ultimately served as Executive Director in Chicago. Jennie has also served on the boards of directors of several organizations, including Perspective Charter Schools, Chicago Opera Theater and Women in Public Finance. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Jennie's term with the MSRB Board expires September 30, 2025.
