Cherie Cummings is Interim Chief Financial Officer of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, where she is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, enterprise risk management, and financial reporting. Most recently, Cherie served in the role of Senior Director, Finance and Risk

Prior to joining MSRB in 2013 as Senior Internal Controls Analyst, Cherie held the role of Audit Senior Specialist for JCPenney. Cherie also held various roles in merchandise buying and planning for Bloomingdale’s. Cherie holds a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and economics from Brown University and a master’s degree in accounting from The University of Texas at Austin. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
