MSRB Hosts Webinar on RTRS and NIIDS

Beginning October 28, 2008 and continuing through mid-November, the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board will hold webinars on the Real-Time Transaction Reporting System (RTRS) and MSRB rules relating to the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation’s New Issue Information Dissemination System (NIIDS). 

Three sets of conference calls are offered.  Each conference call will last approximately 30 to 45 minutes.  Pre-registration is required, and must be completed via the links below. There is no charge to attend.

MSRB Rules Relating to DTCC’s NIIDS System
This first session will provide an overview of the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation’s New Issue Information Dissemination System, known as NIIDS.  It will also review MSRB rules that require underwriter participation with NIIDS (see MSRB Notice 2007-36) and review frequently asked questions.

RTRS I: Introduction to RTRS
This class provides a basic introduction to Rules G-14 and G-12(f), as well as an overview and basic navigation of RTRS Web, Form RTRS and procedures for documenting system outages.

RTRS II: Monitoring Transaction Reporting Compliance and Recent Changes to RTRS
This class will cover regulatory status (“error codes”) assigned to each trade report and reports available through RTRS Web, including recent enhancements of the dealer data quality reports
(see MSRB Notice 2008-39).  Other topics covered include reporting of transactions in certain special trading situations, RTRS Web search features and trade data exports and frequently asked questions.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to join the webinar session at its respective time.  Please click on the link approximately ten minutes before the session start time.  You will be directed to download the GoTo Webinar manager, and will then be given a Dial in Number, Access Code, and Audio PIN.  Please make sure to enter the Audio PIN so that you may be granted speaking privileges.  All attendees will automatically be muted upon entering the session.  If you would like to ask a question, please click on the hand tool to raise your hand.  The presenter will recognize your request and un-mute you to ask a question.  Due to the large volume of attendees, we are only able to un-mute 25 attendees at a time.  Please click on the hand tool to lower your hand if your question has already been answered.
